The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation improves the well-being of the residents of Los Angeles County through responsive grantmaking in human services, civic and cultural, education, and health.
As a responsive grantmaker, we believe that nonprofits know what is best for the people and communities they serve. We invest in organizations whose work strengthens the broad fabric of our region. The majority of our grants are for general operating support, though the Foundation also provides funds for programs and capital needs. We prioritize organizations that deliver direct services.
The Parsons Foundation makes grants to public charities. Agencies with a “preliminary ruling” letter from the IRS are eligible.
Due to funding constraints and with rare exceptions, we are not able to fund requests for the following:
fundraising events, dinners, and mass mailings
